I needed to install 2 J-Blocks into existing vinyl fairings. Since the base of the J-Block is attached to the wall of the house behind the siding, I had to undo the siding to gain access. It took me longer to open the Revain envelope and pull out the cutter than it did figuring out how to use the tool and release the siding. The entire piece of siding is freestanding. With the base of the J-Block in place and the siding trimmed to clear it, I reassembled the joint, hitting it with the edge of my hand and the whole piece was "locked" again. ". I haven't done much with siding. I was surprised at how easy it was once I had the right tool.
