I'm trying to drill a hole in an air cylinder so I can use a rod as leverage to pull the cylinder out of the bottom of the chair. The pneumatic cylinder appears to be steel, but whatever it is, there's no way these bits can penetrate metal. They say they can drill stainless steel, but obviously not all types of stainless steel. I have a large Hitachi high speed drill that plugs into an outlet, with no battery. It was almost worse than the drill bits I got from Home Depot, maybe even.
