Review on πŸš— Maxsa 20025 Red Compact Folding Traction Mat: Reliable All Weather Vehicle Extraction (Set of 2) by Walter Day

They work great when used correctly.

I have had these mats for several years now and they work great. They're a great tool, you just have to know when and how to use them β€’ First, the correct way to use them is to push a small part under the drive wheels (they should be facing forward/straight ahead) and then accelerate SLOWLY . If you step on the gas, the mats naturally fly. That should be common sense. The purpose of using mats is to give you enough support so you can generate enough momentum to break free from where you're stuck. When you accelerate hard, the wheels simply lift the mats off the ground. β€’ Second, if you are in a ditch or your vehicle has deep enough snow where it approaches the bottom of your vehicle (or the bumper in the direction you intend to drive), these mats will not work unless you do do dig yourself out first. Traction doesn't help when the car is on the snow. If you're getting the snow out from under your car and clearing a path long enough for your car to move, then these floor mats will work. Having dealt with Chicago winters every year, I have not had any problems with the floor mats so far. I hope that this information will be useful to someone.
