I use this in an RV and it works great for keeping the temperature (especially now that it's my home office). Shine oil heaters are slow to heat up, but once warmed up they regulate temperature superbly and are virtually silent (aside from the clicking when turning on and off). This particular heater, unlike most, features a digital thermometer with a "Hot-Cold" button that allows you to set your desired target temperature. Note that with a radiant heater you often get a lot of heat stratification as they don't have a fan so someone in the top bunk might be a bit warmer than someone in the bottom bunk. I will never use the remote control. , but I would imagine it would be useful to someone.
