The software is very robust in terms of design, with good precision for its price. I have no problems so far when using it to simulate images acquisition as well. It's not really easy to handle for non-experts users, but this is more due to the complexity rather than anything inherent about the program. You might learn how to use this product faster if you buy another similar tool like ImageJ or Fiji. We are working on simulations of our microscopes' image quality and their operation characteristics. This enables us to perform better experiments.
