This bike rack is perfect for me. so far i only had 2 bikes or 1 bike and i never drove on the autobahn. On two bikes they seem to stabilize each other better, especially if you switch handlebars so that the front wheel is stabilized by the other bike's rear wheel. I got the impression that he was well built. It's not too heavy and not so heavy that it's not too difficult to put on and take off. I have an SUV and if I turn everything forward I have enough room to sit in the back of my car. I didn't hear any rumble or noise while driving, which is almost a little annoying because I get a little panicky while driving and suddenly I look in my rear view mirror to see if it's still there - it's always there. Small critical things I noticed: 1. The 3/4 bolt that attaches to the hitch is bigger than my set of ratchets, so I went out and bought a 3/4 head at a thrift store for a dollar. And this is not a problem of the product itself.2. When there is a bike, the handlebars can move, so I usually have to cover the brake levers to avoid scratching the car. But again, I can't fault the product, why would anyone buy a 4 bike bike rack for only 1 bike? Also, the steering wheel cover is really not that annoying.3. When I don't have bikes and drive, you can lock the bike rack in the down position, but the pin is loose and jumps at stops, which is annoying. Again, I don't get upset because if I don't have any bikes, I just take them off until the next trip. But it would be nice to find a way to block it.
