This lampshade is a work of art. I bought this because I wanted something different for the tallest lamp in my living room. It creates a delightful reflection of the sun galaxy on the walls around it, especially when all other lights are off. My only complaint is that my lamp works with a 3-way bulb and apparently there is no transparent 3-way bulb. So I can see the white of the bulb through the lampshade when it's on. Not the manufacturer's fault, but remember you're trying to create a certain atmosphere. Another feature I really like about this shade is that it's made of metal instead of fabric, which makes it easy to dust off. And you won't ruin its shape by touching it.
