Review on Dreo Radiator Space Heater, Electric 1500W Indoor Portable Oil-Filled Radiator with 🔥 Remote, Overheat & Tip-Over Protection, Digital Thermostat, ECO Mode, Quiet Heater - Matte Black by Michael Caste

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The heat mainly comes from above, not from the sides

It differs from other oil filled heaters I've had in that most of the heat seems to be expelled upwards through the vents on the top of the unit rather than out the "fins". Don't get me wrong, they get hot, they just aren't where most of the heat goes. I really thought it wouldn't work. I went and looked at him and held my hands in different places and then I discovered the weirdness of it. Unfortunately I wanted to use it in my open living room with a high ceiling and after an hour it's not keeping me as warm as I'd hoped. This works best in a small, enclosed space with a low ceiling. I know the fever is rising, but it's only making it worse. It can actually be a really good heater in a smaller room with a lower ceiling as the upward projection can spread out more. Although I don't know. I've had other portable heaters with fans that do a better job of keeping me warm in the living room. I sit less than five feet from it and can't really feel it. I didn't get the manual so I don't know what that has to say about it. I just set it to 78F. I think I could turn it on, but I don't think it's a heater for my outdoor space.

Pros
  • Sofa control All functions of the heater can be accessed via the remote control. The remote also has a mute button. You can always mute the button
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly
