These pedals couldn't be paired better with Five10 shoes and look cool and aggressive. They are very grippy and your foot feels attached to the pedals. I highly recommend you wear some form of shin guard when riding these pedals as even the slightest slip can result in painful injury. The pins are much smaller than the Xpedo Face Off 13s I've used before and they hold the foot better in less than ideal situations. Can't comment on how they hold up to impact but they appear to be very well made and the spindle and bearings can be rebuilt if needed. A bit more expensive but I recommend them if you are looking for a higher level pedal.
