Great for halogen lights
We built a heated cat house out of an old cat fridge with a washing machine under the cover. At the end of the cooler we cut a small hole for the cat to get in and out of. We had a problem finding a replacement for this type of bulb when the original bulb burned out. Most have switched to LEDs and they don't generate enough heat. We found a replacement bulb, but we paid the same as we did for five. So far the lamp change works great.
