Review on Sengled Bluetooth Controlled Dimmable πŸ’‘ Satellite: Enhance Your Lighting Control with Ease by Sri Mims

Good idea, low volume and bad sync make it passable.

It was easy to set up, but I found the range and volume weren't what I expected. I have four of these in two rooms at home. The sound is just ok, I have a TDK speaker I'm taking with me that has a much better sound and more range. But I always lose the charger for it, so I thought it would be great to have them in different places in my house. Unfortunately they don't have the volume to replace my TDK speaker. While it's true that I could use more Senglet units together to make it louder, this would require buying more per room than just carrying around a portable speaker. I also placed these lamps in two sockets to block all Bluetooth signals. What good are they if they can't receive a signal. They also need to remember the last light level they were at, but often they don't and therefore revert to 100% brightness. I put one in my bathroom and set the brightness to low, hoping that late-night visits to the bathroom won't blind me. No luck, the device always resets to full brightness. Such pain. Synchronization between devices is also an issue, if other devices are not activated when the main device starts, you cannot add them to the group, they must be activated first. I like the idea of these lightbulbs, but the technology isn't there yet. Maybe I'll consider a similar system again in a few years, but so far I'm not happy with it.
