Review on First Sewing Craft Kit by ALEX Toys by Bob Randles

Bought this item for my 9 year old granddaughter for Christmas. She didn't seem interested at first, so I didn't push. After sitting on her shelf for a few months, she finally expressed her desire to learn to sew. After opening it up and looking at everything, we decided to start with a simple pouch so she could get used to the simple steps. The instructions weren't clear enough for a nine-year-old to understand without much adult help. I wish there was a child-friendly guide in the kit so she can feel more successful. The needle that came with it was very difficult to thread through the eye of the needle, so I gave her a large eyed needle from my sewing kit. Once she started the project, she was able to complete the stuffed animal projects with little to no help from me. Although I don't sew as a hobby, this was a good place for my granddaughter to learn about the world of sewing and I think she is hooked!
