Review on 🔗 Optimized Lixit Dog Cable Tie Out with Retractable Functionality by Andrew Walton

I bought this model because it was a great way to minimize the chance of my pup getting tangled in the line when I'm outside with me. My goal was to have a 360°/retractable ledge with a clean view of the lawn. Here are my results after 3 weeks: The retractable/360 element is somewhat useful. Dogs are unlikely to get tangled back and forth on the leash itself. I liked that this model also came with a cable and not some that only rotated 360 degrees. The round part ensures a clean look on the lawn - the cable does not get in the way when mowing. It's big enough that we don't miss it, but it's not unsightly. Unfortunately, the nature of this retractable leash is such that it constantly pulls on your dog. I first got myself a medium and quickly realized that my beagle felt constantly uncomfortable. A harness would probably help, but I'm concerned about the strain on his neck with a regular collar. When larger dogs come to visit, it's less important, but still unsuitable for the occasional outdoor nap. There's a small piece of rubber that keeps the leash taut and gives them some relief, but it's a bit counterintuitive. The rubber stopper also wears out (after about 2 weeks of daily use) to the point where it slowly slides back down. Cable. I ended up buying a small model for my beagle to see if he would pull less. He weighs about 30 pounds (slightly overweight). If this solves the problem I'll update here!
