Review on Emerson Ceiling CF552GES Adaptable Espresso by Alexandra Griego

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Looks good, circulates well in our 3 season room

I installed this fan in our 14 x 20 foot 3 season room. We didn't need a decorative or ornate fan; We just wanted the fan to look good and be well built. And because we have lights in the ceiling of the room, we didn't need a fan and light combination. This fan meets all requirements. Our 3 season room is only one story up but has a vaulted ceiling (see my photos) so we had to buy a 24 inch pole to lower the fan so it wasn't too high. above ground and to provide clearance between blades and ceiling: Emerson CFDR2ORB downrod ceiling fan, 24 in. long, oiled bronze. too "windy". The blades are plastic, not wood, but they don't look cheap at all. The room is covered and protected with vinyl windows that we can open and close to expose it to humidity and temperature changes, but it's certainly built for those conditions and hasn't had any issues in its first year of operation. I highly recommend getting a remote control for this fan as it's really nice to be able to adjust the speed from the comfort of your chair. (First world problems, right?) And you don't have to use an extension on a long-distance chain, which can droop and look unsightly (just my opinion). We bought this one and it works great: Emerson Ceiling Fans SR400 4 Speed Remote Controlled Ceiling Fan with Receiver We are very happy with this fan after its first year of use.
