Review on πŸ”§ Diment Power Surface Grinders for Enhanced Grinding Performance by Zack Frazier

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I do not recommend for Makita 4.5

My experience was very similar to the reviewer's December 2020 STN. /8 inches at best. There is no click. You need to tighten that 1/8 inch as tight as you can and then fight any vibration and uncertainty. It's just not worth it. My connection broke and changed everywhere. There is little fun in using such a dangerous piece of equipment as an angle grinder. Eventually I removed the adapter, replaced it with one that was as square and firm as possible, and found that the only way to do this was to keep the hose from the dry cleaner in the same relationship to the angle grinder throughout the grinding process. No unnecessary movements and pressure. Otherwise, misalignment will cause the 1/8" connection to come loose again. I placed the Ridgid dry vacuum 6 feet to the right and a few feet back. This allowed the hose to be almost fully extended and not the angle during operation It's ridiculous that I'm forced to manipulate like this, but it worked and I managed a small project sanding a large lip on the edge of my pool deck after the aluminum cage was removed. As STN pointed out, This shroud excels at collecting dust Easy 5. This is one of the reasons I didn't want to give it up and switch to the Makita 195236-5 shroud, which gets bad reviews for dust collection, especially when it's not flat resting on a surface. Since I was sanding a huge 1" edge, my project was almost never flat on the surface. I needed a VT1755 connector con us to connect it to a Ridgid vacuum. Nothing fits perfectly. But all it takes is a few turns of electrical tape and then inserting the cone into the housing. At first I thought this was going to be my biggest problem until I opened the box and found that the adapter was a made up joke with no room for error.
