It's not a shell - it's TAPE
Although applying glue meant I didn't have to remove the hose I was trying to protect with this "Thermal Shell" . I haven't done it yet. I crawled under the car to see how the thermal film held up. I will update this review as soon as I do. My setup protects the air line from the compressor to the air bridge assist spring. This line failed due to the extreme heat of the adjacent exhaust line. Hope this thermal sheet helps.
