Not only is this a great dishwasher rinse aid, but I noticed something else important when I first started using it. I'm not sure if that applies to everyone, but my dishwasher had trouble building up calcium. You can buy cleaning products for this, but I've read that you can do that too. Symptoms are some engines not running properly, usually a drain or scavenge pump running intermittently or poorly. I have used products with rinse aid added (tablets) but still had problems. I started this and the dishwasher worked fine for a month so now I save my money and use regular liquid detergent and refill the rinse aid dispenser when it runs out. And it looks like it's going to take a while based on what I've used to fill the dispenser a few times.
