Not only is this a great dishwasher rinse aid, but I noticed something else important when I first started using it. I'm not sure if that applies to everyone, but my dishwasher had trouble building up calcium. You can buy cleaning products for this, but I've read that you can do that too. Symptoms are some engines not running properly, usually a drain or scavenge pump running intermittently or poorly. I have used products with rinse aid added (tablets) but still had problems. I started this and
