That thing just saves. Saved about $20 compared to the Harbor Freight version. I was on the last turn on my 2008 Mustang and bought a ratcheting universal tool from the parts store and it was unbearable trying to compress the piston, it kept slipping out and was so hard to turn. I gave up after a few days not knowing how much more I have to walk until the plunger is fully reset. I decided to get this in hopes it would get the job done before calling the mobile mechanic. I connected the adapter and this thing compressed the piston in 5 minutes. I could never have done it with any other instrument. This kit is perfect for rear brakes with a rotating brake piston.
