We have a GE Cafe where the filter is upright in the door. Decided to give this a try since it saves so much money. Installed it according to instructions with no modifications. It did drip (inside the filter compartment and on to the top of the freezer door) for about 2 days but then it stopped. It was not a huge amount and never enough to drip on the floor. Its been in for almost a month now and we've had no more leaking. I think the water tasted a little different at first - not necessarily bad but just different - but I no longer notice it so either I got used to it or the filter is fully flushed/working. Anyway, bottom line.for the huge savings it's totally worth it in my opinion.
