This worked fine for my needs and worked as described. I had two small issues specific to my application that may be noticed by others who may be trying to do the same. In my app I tried to extend the power connector of a 2014 Jeep Wrangler for a GPS and CB unit mounted in the center of the dashboard. I wanted a clean install and no dashes. So I tried a few out of sight locations and the cord on this unit was too short. You don't need a lot of cables in a typical setup, so this device is ideal for all your needs. FYI, I ended up hiding this device behind my glove box and there was a proper cable for that here. My second issue, which is mostly not picky, is that the end that goes into the power port has a word sticker that lights up to tell you what it is. When the device was installed, the word was upside down and looked stupid, as it was for me. Peeling off the sticker and re-sticking it in the desired orientation solved the problem. My little things aside, I would recommend this item to others as it works well.
