This is a great paddle! I've been making pizza at home for years and have enough burns on my hands and forearms to prove it. I have had occasional accidents when placing or removing cakes from the stone in the oven. My kitchen is small, so I never thought about buying a paddle due to lack of space. This paddle has a foldable handle, making it easy to store. Sometimes I even forget I have it. The overall construction is quite solid, the handle locks securely and stays cool. The blade is slightly contoured in thickness, so it is thin, with a slight camber at the curved leading edge, and gets heavier towards the hilt. slips easily under stuff and is heavy enough to carry anything that fits on top. They come in other sizes, but I recommend the Extra Large. It easily handles anything that fits in a standard oven and is much more difficult to store than smaller ovens. No more falling cakes or burned bodies!
