Review on Small Round Rubber Bumpers Screws by Robert Robertson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Good rubber feet, terrible screws

At first glance, the rubber feet and screws were perfect, but there was no indication of the screw guide hole diameter. I placed the legs on a corian cutting board and chose a 3/32" bit to drill pilot holes. I screwed in the first screw with a hand screwdriver and was very surprised when the screw cut off a third. in! I barely tightened it past my usual strength to get the screw in. Assuming it was coincidence, I fired a second one, but the second propeller broke through halfway! I was able to loosen the first screw, but not the second. I redrilled the holes to 7/64" and was able to successfully screw in the next post. However, rather than try my luck, I went to Home Depot and bought some #6 1/2" stainless steel screws and used them to fasten the to attach legs to the board. I'm happy with the quality of the rubber feet, but the screws are absolute crap. If you decide to use them, drill 7/64" pilot holes and don't tighten at all! My appreciation for the damage to my cutting board (broken screw inserted, albeit on the underside) and the effort that one took unnecessary trip to Home Depot for the right screws should have been.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model
