Cheap and spirited but works

Received today and collected with some effort. Basically, I had to take it apart, figure out how it works, and then put it back together. Once I figured out how this mechanism actually works, it wasn't so bad anymore. My window is about 46 inches so I had to use a smaller pole stretched almost to the max, it's not that strong. It will be suitable for our purpose, that is, to insulate a window that we do not use. We will not open and close the curtains otherwise I would break in and pierce the walls even if it is a rental. a shower curtain rod that needs to be rotated all the way. It has a threaded rubber seal and a plastic stepped end that screws into it. When tightened, it pushes out the seal and snaps into place. All you have to do is manually spread the bar until it's about the size you want, then rotate the bar to secure it. From there, twist the tip to tighten to the last bit (opposite direction you might think, but it's marked ). a sticker). I can see where people might think it's broken or not working. Mine won't spin anymore and I'm going to separate both parts by placing the spacer back onto the thinner part of the screw tip and starting over . For the price I'm satisfied. It was a cheap and fairly simple solution to our problem. If it's a window that gets heavy use or has a heavy curtain, I'd say it should be at least 6 inches under the advertised maximum width for more stability, maybe more.
