Mine won't spin anymore and I'm going to separate both parts by placing the spacer back onto the thinner part of the screw tip and starting over . For the price I'm satisfied. It was a cheap and fairly simple solution to our problem. If it's a window that gets heavy use or has a heavy curtain, I'd say it should be at least 6 inches under the advertised maximum width for more stability, maybe more.
