When it arrived last night I rushed to the computer to see what it would do. Unfortunately, the drivers and software have to be installed first. Drivers and software are included on a mini DVD or can be downloaded. I tried the DVD first, but my drives wouldn't load the software. Luckily, the download didn't take long, and after installing the driver and other software, I was ready to try it out. The stand that came with the camera is pretty flimsy and I had to figure out how to get the camera to snap into the holder instead of sliding in, but once I got it right I put a small manual on the table in front of the camera and ran the software to check how well it works. After choosing this camera instead of the standard USB video camera, I received a screen with a monotonous gray image. After figuring out the focus wheel, I was able to focus the image and see the text in the instructions in incredible detail, with noticeable digital noise and artifacts. The software took the picture when I wanted it and the pictures turned out pretty good. Overall I'm happy with what I got for the price paid.
