Bought this little guy for work instead of a "public kettle" at the office. It's so discreet and I can put it in my pocket along with a bottle of water. The device feels cool, but the water inside boils violently. There is an auto shut off feature that will turn off the unit once the water reaches the maximum boiling temperature. It's not noisy at all. The cord isn't very long (probably two feet), making it easy to coil up and pop into a mug. Beautiful color, silicone strap. Everything seems to be of good quality but I will update if it doesn't last long. I plan to use it to make soup, tea and coffee at work. I've used it once so far and I love it.
