I would call it a more purposeful, "rugged" and simpler monitor geared more towards home work than gaming. This works for gaming and has a respectable 75Hz refresh rate (original), but it feels a little basic for the suggested retail price (currently over two hundred and fifty). It's not bad for a 22-inch monitor, but it's also slightly larger than I expected from a display that looks more bare-bones. However, I will say that the IPS panel, picture quality and HDMI input redeemed this monitor. The picture is clear, sharp and smooth. The colors seem correct and accurate and the brightness is more than adequate for me. Whether it's work or play/games, he's above average. It wouldn't be fair to compare it to an Alienware gaming monitor or the new and much more expensive Acer, but it's fair to say you'll probably be happy with the performance of this 22-inch monitor at this price point. It's not perfect, but it has great picture quality, vibrant colors and seemingly accurate rendering. Pros: Slim design Slim considering the MSRPIPS panel Native 75Hz refresh rate Vivid colors Great viewing angles (thanks to IPS panel) Good cables included 1080p resolution Cons: The power cord is a little short, but relatively cheap to replace. Not the cheapest option. All in all, this is a monitor that suits me very well for working from home and some gaming. It's big enough for me to get a lot more electronic scenery to be more efficient at work, but it also doesn't have all the bells and whistles that some others have. This is a good Samsung monitor and comes with a good warranty.
