I have read reviews on this product where people have criticized the fragility of the plastic or the softness of the nylon(?) webbing that makes up the webbing. I agree that the plastic buckles don't seem strong enough to support heavy loads (e.g. tying something to a car for a trip) and that the straps are soft and flexible. I almost bought another set of straps with metal buckles and a very stiff webbing but I plan to use these straps to attach a giant sleeping bag by next winter. For such light home use, these belts are just great. I laid out four of the six wide straps on the floor before folding my sleeping bag into a LOOSE bundle and then quickly and easily stretched the straps to just the right length to keep my sleeping bag in a comfortable shape. Amazing - just what I was hoping for. Instead of being a clunky, ugly, limp mess in my closet, my two-person sleeping bag now lies neatly folded in a corner. I would not use these straps for anything outdoors or under a lot of stress. But for light organizational tasks, six straps at this price point are simply irreplaceable. And the materials are great for light housework. Happy camper is here.
