More secure than I expected but a little work wouldn't hurt

I originally bought a 65 rack ($29.99 at the time) with intentions of installing it, in fact I bought three of what I did was hoping to fit in a room about 30 inches wide. However, a friend who understands these things better than I do told me that the mounting screws that come with each stand are too short to fit properly in the stud. So all three of my racks are just standing on the carpet for the time being, their legs are pressed against the wall. These racks can be quite difficult to assemble at first. You have to use your hands and push and pull because the holes don't quite line up. However, assembly does not take long Just be careful expect some disappointment. When built, they're pretty sturdy for their size. You need to make sure everything is connected properly. For example, if you pick up the rack by the top "handles" and feel like it's falling apart, you might want to invest in a rubber mallet. Overall, I disagree with most of the "unreliable" or "doesn't work on carpet" reviews. I wouldn't keep them far from the wall, however, but I don't find them useless unless they're installed. Each rack has exactly 65 slots, and there is enough space at the top to hold two regular CDs or other things like a stack. for example DVDs in paper sleeves. Some slots are bigger than others, but don't expect that they fit in a box set and forget to put the box set on top. For my needs, I put my box sets under the TV stand. I would like longer mounting screws as well as a sturdier construction, perhaps similar to how wire shelving works. I also found that large slots are a bit visually confusing. I'm not sure how they could better label them, but I'd be curious to have a 60 rack unit instead, with just two larger slots, each equating to 2.5 slots, so you could fit in a pair box . puts. The "big ones" just aren't big enough to have any value. So they might fit in a few box sets. The "big ones" just aren't big enough to have any value. So they might fit in a few box sets.
