Even a beginner like me could use it very easily. I had some water in the PH meter when I first tried to flush it but I took the batteries out and let it dry completely and after that it seemed to work. The TDS meter seemed to work great for testing tap water, Brita filtered water, reverse osmosis water and nutrient solution in one of my hydroponic buckets. These meters aren't built for durability and water resistance, but the price is right.
