I used these blocks to hang artificial hanging plants in hanging flower pots in my bedroom as my room doesn't get natural light. The blocks are pretty sturdy and the plants stay in place with no glue needed. They are definitely doing what they are supposed to do. However, they have a terrible odor and the fibers get everywhere when you cut the blocks. It's like fiberglass. I had to go outside to finish my project because these fibers were all over the floor and furniture and I was concerned that I would inhale toxic chemicals because they smelled awful. They definitely smell toxic, so I wouldn't recommend them for anything edible or if you keep them somewhere where they will be moved or touched a lot.
