I mounted them on the back of my 1999 Honda Accord coupe along with some 6.5" Fosgate wheels in the front. The rear wheels are connected to an aftermarket Sony MEX head unit. Having lots of experience with other rear speakers I have to say they sound great even compared to the more expensive aftermarket front speakers hooked up to an amplifier. I figured out the positive and negative orientation of standard wires, but the 6v battery trick on standard speakers helped me figure out which is which. This is important because speakers have positive and negative polarities. Reversing the polarity will pull the speakers in rather than push them out, visibly clipping the sound, and leaving it that way could damage the speakers. The speakers came with grilles (although I used standard speaker grilles) and sockets for the wires. . All you need for installation is a couple of crimping tools, a pair of crimping pliers, and a sharp edge or wire stripper to connect the included wires to the harness. The metal plugs and sockets are sized differently to avoid reverse polarity if you connected them with the correct factory polarity.
