So first I'll tell those who struggled with this (since it didn't stick) that you MUST prep your surface in advance. The "hook" didn't come with any significant instructions, but it is important that A) the wall is as smooth as possible, B) it has been cleaned beforehand - I used rubbing alcohol but it may be too strong for some paints. So be careful and C) finally give the hook time to harden after fixing the hook on the wall. I have different adhesive hooks on another set of poles and they recommend letting the adhesive "cure" on the wall for at least an hour before hanging the poles. I think I gave my 2 hours and there were no problems. I'll be sure to update later if this turns out not to be the case. Another thing to note about these hooks is that once the little clamp closes around them they won't slip at all, so you need to position your rod accurately. as you want it, otherwise you have to constantly open the small clamp. I liked it, some people didn't.
