I love these books by Melissa and Doug. So many watercolors have a little "color stripe" at the top of the page that you dampen and then apply color to the image. 3 year olds (at least mine) do NOT understand this concept. In this book the color is right on the picture and you can just wet the brush and start painting. My girls loved this book so much that I bought a second one right away. I have triplets so the 6 books we read are all M&D! The photos are beautiful and my girls are very proud of their work. I just wish they had more styles. We bought the books "Girl" and "Boy". I would like to see other themes (e.g. animals, Christmas etc.).
