My kitchen sink has been clogged with standing water for several days, despite pouring several bottles of Drano, baking soda, vinegar and using a toilet plunger. I tried 4' and it didn't work so I took this one. The first time I pushed it all the way down. When it hit and stuck, I pulled it in and out with short strokes until it went through, then moved on. In the end it didn't go any further. It didn't clear the blockage. I decided to try again. This time I followed the instructions: I kept everything in the pen except the part that I fed in. When it got stuck, I twisted the handle, rocked it back and forth, and kept pushing. Eventually it was all in and I pulled it out again while spinning it. It worked! The blockage has been completely removed! I let it dry on the garage floor for a few days before putting it back in, but the end was still wet. Remember that tightly wound metal traps moisture. I shook it out and let the part dry further - it's not stainless steel and will likely rust some.
