I ordered this as the advert said it was a "replacement 3 speed ceiling fan pull chain fan switch with 4 wires going into the switch". The problem is that it didn't work. doesn't work to replace my switch which had 4 wires going into the switch. All I get is low and high speeds with no mid speed which I've always had. I wouldn't give a 3 star rating if it weren't for the fact that the indicator is meant to do this, but doesn't claim that this switch will not replace all 3 gang/4 wire fan switches so you'll need to use this product need to confirm compatibility as a replacement for your specific fan switch. The company was very nice and offered a refund. But when I get the switch back, of course I'll be there.
