It's easy to mount just 4 bolts from the original part and put on the gas spring cylinder. The first time I leaned back in my chair I heard a crackle, I don't weigh that much for the part to break like that, now it tilts to the right and I have to balance to keep it from failing completely. the original part has replaced it.
