Review on 🌊 Pennington Aquagarden Universal Fountain Pump: Perfect for Garden Fountains, Water Features, Aquaponics & Hydroponics – 75-150 Gallons, Up to 5’4” Pumping Height by Jennifer Rogers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The pump is a good but not ideal replacement for my small balcony fountain

NOTE. This rating is for the 75-150 pump. I ordered this pump to replace my small balcony fountain. The pump I replaced was a PT-560 rated for a maximum capacity of 170 GPH. This 75-150 pump comes with two 3/8" and 1/2" hose inlet adapters. The pump also has a flow control valve. According to the specs, it's 120V, 60Hz, 13W with a maximum flow of 158 gph. It has a maximum pump height of 5ft 4in with a maximum cord of 6ft. Unfortunately the inlet adapters don't work with my hose. Instead, I had to use a pump without an adapter, and my hose just doesn't fit well in the inlet. the hole and it's not tight. The seat on my other pump was tight. However, this did not affect performance as I had the flow control valve set to the maximum setting. As you can see in the video, my fountain is small. The flow is only slightly lower than my previous pump - barely noticeable difference. I have also included photos of this new pump with additional inlet adapters and a photo of my old pump. Time will tell if this pump will hold up. Aside from the loose fit, I'm happy with the replacement so far. If this pump fails I will update my review. My fountain runs seasonally from April to October.
