This tree topper is a beautiful shade of gold, and the warm soft lights are nice to view, no harshness at all. It is battery operated - requires 3AA - not included, and it works flawlessly as described. I do wish there was a way to keep all of the lights on, but some are constantly blinking. It’s lightweight enough that it shouldn’t strain the tree to hold it up. The coiled base is wide, and looks able to accommodate any size tree. I subtracted a star because at the time of this review I feel the $33.99 price tag is too high for battery operated.
