I'm not a coffee drinker, but I like what my husband calls "trendy" coffee. Espresso, cappuccino, frappuccino, latte etc. Always wanted an espresso machine so I bought it. It took me a while to settle on this one but I am very happy with my purchase. This espresso machine has 15 bar pressure and built-in pressure gauge. I've learned that knowing the exact pressure is important to brewing a consistent cup of espresso. It probably took me about 10 cups (not all in one day 😂) to find the perfect print. The tank is about 37 ounces and is removable. I like that I can remove it to clean it better. It's also transparent so I can clearly see how much water to put in. I say 37 ounces because I've found 3 different measurements in the literature and haven't personally measured them. I don't plan either. Approximate weight is enough for me. The drip tray is made of stainless steel and is also removable. This ensures quick and easy cleaning. Another detachable part is the foam nozzle. I don't use it really often because I have a separate milk frother which is electric. When I make foam, I usually do a lot and it's faster with a special foamer. The coffee baskets are made of stainless steel and the basket holder is made of plastic. I would have preferred everything to be made of stainless steel, but the plastic didn't change the taste. Also, I'm not sure how much, if any, actually touches the plastic during brewing. However, there are single and double wastebaskets. That was one thing I found cool and comfortable. What can I do 1 or 2 cups at a time. I definitely do 2 when making an iced coffee or a frappuccino. Separate cups (even if I make 2) I always put the cups on top of the warmer. This keeps my espresso warm longer. The control panel simplifies management, that is, calculation. By this point I've made all of my favorite coffee drinks (I've had it for about 6 months) and found myself drinking my fancy coffee more regularly. Going to a café is very expensive, so I rarely drank coffee. Advice. The coffee I get from Greece is ground into a fine powder that's perfect for this machine. Any local coffee I get (whether in beans or already ground) I grind to the consistency of a powder. I'm no expert, but that's the difference. At least for me.
