I bought this to make tea at work using my own 5 gallon spring water bottles instead of tap water. It fits the bottle snugly - I remove the cap and push out the middle cap, snap the cap back onto the bottle, the tubing is inserted into the hole and a little pressure pushes the pump onto the bottle. I'm only deducting a star because the plastic body looks a bit cheap overall, in the photos it looks like it's matte silver when it's actually just white, and once the metal spout is in place it feels loose and has a small tinge game, although it is not leaking. A happy coincidence is that when you double press the power button, it dispenses exactly 600ml of water and then shuts off automatically. I use the Gourmia GK320 Travel Foldable Electric Kettle to heat water at my desk, which has a maximum capacity of 600ml, which is enough for two cups of tea in my temperature-controlled Ember ceramic mug, so this feature is perfect! A bottle with a pump attached also fits under my desk with enough room to press the power button on top.
