Good, reliable, alternator-proof charger. with one (possibly very dangerous!) disadvantage: the voltage limits do not correspond to those declared. This charger was purchased to separate our generator (which is undersized and produces "dirty" power compared to our AIMS inverter) from our loads. This allows us to charge the batteries on cloudy days when there is not enough solar power from our small standby generator without interrupting our loads as they can continue to be powered by the inverter. In general, this works very well. However, the problem is that it will NOT turn off or stop charging when the voltage reaches the set value as per the specs. It continues to push our lithium battery voltage well above 28.8 volts. The voltage reached 29.1 volts before I decided it was enough and turned off the switch leading to the input of this charger. battery charge. I plan to contact AIMS about this and find out if I received a defective device or something else; but a deviation of 0.3 volts (or more) for lithium batteries is unacceptable. Heck, that's unacceptable for most 24v lead-acid banks. :(
