Living with an aging gas stove. Air. This can happen over time as the burner block rusts through after years of use. I could invite someone to inspect my device, but since the inspector was also supposed to be a salesman for new systems, I thought it wise to invest in this tool - and see for myself. It is easy to use and sensitive. I accidentally took it with me while having lunch at a small restaurant, and when the chef in the back of the restaurant lit the stove and started cooking my meal, I saw that the device was registering traces of carbon monoxide. When he turned it off, the numbers went back to zero. At home I was able to test my stove, kettle and appliances for a few friends. I am very happy with this purchase.
