Wore it to work (fire department) the first day and .

Worn on the first day at work (fire brigade) and practicing with the chainsaw (gas saw) the alarm went off. We now know to take precautions. Thanks very much!

Pretty decent device - Security

Pretty neat device. It is easy to use, the shutdown countdown is good to prevent turning off accidentally. This seems to be accurate. One feature they should advertise more clearly is that it will run for 2-4 years non-stop on battery power. It uses a CR123 battery that only costs a few bucks to replace, so you can just leave it on all the time.

  • Everything is fine!

Small, easy to use, very sensitive

I attached this unit to a Stratux that I take on test drives so I can keep track of CO levels on the many unfamiliar planes I fly . I tested it on my planes and used it to determine the effectiveness of the additional firewall seal I made. If you're an instructor or a DPE who "speed-dates" aircraft, it's actually a good precaution to have this device with you, especially during the winter months when cabin heaters are most likely to be used.

Don't buy a cheap carbon monoxide detector

I bought this to check for carbon monoxide in our Ford Explorer. It is a robust detector with professional feel and optics. Its compact size makes it easy to use and carry. Mine reads 0 most of the time and sometimes fluctuates to 1 depending on where I am. I was wondering if there was really something to read, so I put it next to the exhaust of a running car. Within seconds it recognized and displayed the value 5, which continues to increase. I went out for fresh air and it dropped back to 0โ€ฆ

Carbon Monoxide Alarm

Small, solid, visible alarm seems to work well on my plane. It is useful to be able to set the maximum value. Digital reading is important to me. I place the device so I can see the face and when there is a carbon monoxide alarm the LEDs in the four corners will flash. It needs to be calibrated every 6 months and if we don't buy a calibration kit it needs to be sent back for calibration. In any case, the costs increase. For our mission, searching for CO peaks in the cockpit of a small airplane,

Living with an aging gas stove. Air. This can happen over time as the burner block rusts through after years of use. I could invite someone to inspect my device, but since the inspector was also supposed to be a salesman for new systems, I thought it wise to invest in this tool - and see for myself. It is easy to use and sensitive. I accidentally took it with me while having lunch at a small restaurant, and when the chef in the back of the restaurant lit the stove and started cooking my meal, I

It climbed where others couldn't

I have a 2005 MDX SUV and have had sudden dizziness and drowsiness several times. I even went off the road once. Nothing like this has ever happened to me in the last thirty years of driving different cars on this scale. I figured there must be something in the air or maybe in the food. I've noticed I'm more prone to this after eating, which is natural, but then I ate and drove my EV Bolt car, no big deal! When this happened even with no food in my SUV, I started investigating and saw that some

Fast sensor, insurance value under 1 million

This is a fast sensor, essential for tight spaces where CO emissions can rise quickly. Think of your car with an exhaust leak, an airplane cabin and so on. For anyone living, working, sitting in an enclosed space where CO can quickly accumulate and cause death, this should be easy. The 35 ppm low level warning sound limit was triggered several times in our small aircraft during descent. I can hear it through the noise-cancelling headphones and the hum of the engine, although it takes me aโ€ฆ

  • Delivery was very fast
