I bought this to check for carbon monoxide in our Ford Explorer. It is a robust detector with professional feel and optics. Its compact size makes it easy to use and carry. Mine reads 0 most of the time and sometimes fluctuates to 1 depending on where I am. I was wondering if there was really something to read, so I put it next to the exhaust of a running car. Within seconds it recognized and displayed the value 5, which continues to increase. I went out for fresh air and it dropped back to 0. I'm impressed with the speed of reading. I hope it's as accurate as he claims. I'll update this review when it's time to calibrate it for the first time or if I find something wrong in the meantime.
