I can't think of a better computer buy. If you use your computer to surf the web, check email, update Facebook, or do any other online activity, get a Chromebook. A little background: I'm an IT Analyst at a large utility company and have been working with and fixing computers for almost 20 years. I never buy new desktops, but I've bought several laptops for portability. I love this little powerhouse, it boots up in less than 5 seconds says seven but I've never seen it take that "long". Within 5 minutes after switching it on for the first time, you are connected to the Internet and ready to use. The device is really light, but doesn't look cheap. The keyboard is fast and responsive, and the touchpad is comfortable to use. It comes equipped with an SD card reader, making it easy to view images from your digital camera (if it uses SD cards) or transfer files without a USB flash drive. You can easily connect it to your HDTV with an HDMI cable to watch Internet broadcasts or home videos. It also has USB ports and other features that you can see in the product description. We've had it for about a week now and have had to charge it twice, the battery lasts at least 8 hours and maintains a strong charge on standby. Mode.
