My cat loves to drink from the tap. I don't get it. He's had other running water fountains he will use, but still gravitates to the tap. I thought this would be a great alternative for him. It makes a lot less noise (water noise, not pump noise) than my other fountains. It's not noisy by comparison at all. What I didn't like was that it was not necessarily easy to line up the pump and the other pieces to easily seat the pieces in the bowl. I did see the instructions, but it still just wasn't that easy to me. Ultimately, my cat hated it, he wouldn't drink from it, so I went back to the other fountain he will use. I think it's a great concept, but I think it could be better with a way to guide the pump into one position that makes it easier to assemble. Cats are horrible people, so I don't fault this fountain because my jerkface cat didn't like it.
