I had an old Razer Kraken I used for 5 years whose ear pars were peeling and destroyed. These were super easy to install and fit perfectly, but they’re noticeably thinner due to having less foam. This not only impacts the comfort as the plastic of the headphones push on your head more but the acoustics of the sound change completely. The headphones now sound drowned out and watered down and I notice a clear increase in "leakage” of outside noise into my ears with these on. Unless you absolutely need an upgrade I would try and stick to the original ear pads.
