Review on 📶 D-Link DWL-1000AP 11Mb Wireless LAN Access Point 802.11b: High-Performance Connectivity for Seamless Wireless Networking by James Roper

I was struggling to get the software to find the WAP when it's connected to the same hub as my servers. I ended up using a crossover cable to connect directly to the WAP and the setup program found the WAP immediately. However, I still have to run WEP. The setup software isn't very user friendly, but I'm sure there is a way around this. That's not bad for the price of the D-Link DWL-1000AP. Signal strength is good in several rooms and on the first floor. Be sure to check the public SNMP string vulnerability (which is enabled by default) posted on packetstormsecurity.com. Anyone with a wireless card within a few hundred yards could use this vulnerability to take control of your WAP. Overall I am satisfied with the product for home use.
