Missing Link to Music Nirvana

This amp replaces the Kicker zx750 amp that powered the Polk MM6501 Finishing Kit. I replaced it because I didn't have room for that big amp in my trunk and I only have a pair of speakers in the front. This amp is about 1/3 smaller than the kicker. (Sub will soon be added to Polk MM 1040). I just have to say WOW! I went from 85 watts per channel to 150-175 watts per channel. The MM6501 are 2.7 ohms, so you get a little more power. The sound is louder and clearer. I don't know if it sounds warmer, but after going through all my music (Coltrane, Ozzy, Muse, Beethoven, Cocteau Twins, Robbie Robertson, Change) I have to say that this amp handled all the music perfectly. I'm going to compare class D and class AB, but I see no reason to buy a big, heavy amp that gets very hot instead of one that's smaller, louder, has more power, and runs slower. If there's a difference in the music, it's too small to tell. I should also note that while this amp has MANY features (high pass filter, low pass filter that can be combined to create a band pass filter), I ran the amp through the full range and connected it to my main unit (JVC KW-NT800HDT) AMAZING little amp, can't wait to send the remaining 400 watts to the sub!
